Really good choice of meal options, and all was delicious that we tried. The service and staff were welcoming and helpful. All round great visit.
Gourmet prices, with Weather Spoons quality One of the worst meals out I have ever had. This is obviously coming across as maybe a little harsh and possibly the chef was having an off day but seriously given all the same ingredients I could have made a much better dish! Not enough options for kids either.
Lovely setting and ambience. Just in for a Sunday drink but have eaten here before. Not the cheapest but that's the new norm these days... Will definitely be back and sample the Sunday roast.
Happened to be passing through Steeple Ashton and fancied some lunch - nothing too huge, just something to get me through the day. So glad I came here. Even though they were busy they managed to fit me in. Had a look at the menu and even though there were copious amounts of delight presented, I went for an old favourite "Fish & Chips". Not only is it the only fish I'll usually eat, it's a good way to judge somewhere new. I certainly wasn't disappointed. The chips were fluffy and light, the peas - which can be hit and miss - were delightful. The fish was battered to perfection. It was crispy, flaky and moist beyond compare. I sound like I'm gushing, but I could have eaten that dish all over again it was that good. This place is a bit out of the way, and probably best known to locals, but if you are passing down the A350 and fancy some great food, pop in. Staff are helpful and friendly and not in your face - which I'm sure, dear reader, you know I'm not a fan of!
Jaime-Lea and the team hosted a lovely afternoon tea for us in the newly refurbished garden room. The food was delicious and plenty with gluten free catered for really well. Definitely will be back and can recommend for a function!
