Dirty needle on one of the tables in the enclosed smoking area out back. 2 stars for friendly bartender and somewhat cheap drinks. Mostly elderly locals. Not a place to meet girls.
Me and my friend was there and my drink was spiked! I was in hospital for a week and a friend of mine went to the pub ordered the pint of fosters and the land lady gave the sloops! Avoid going there! Not the same no more ! It was better ages ago when Robert and pette had the pub !!
If you are looking for a place with the cheapest beer and the nicest people, this is definitely your place in town. Super kind owners will serve you there. They also organise karaoke nights and quiz nights which you can check out and follow through "thelongbarbristol1" at IG.
A proper old school pub with very reasonable priced drinks and a fantastic crowd of locals. No generic brown leather seats or tinny pop music playing - a trendy wine bar this is not - it’s a British pub that’s been the starting point for many of my adventure in Bristol! I would often visit alone - and quickly find myself in friendly conversation with a fellow drinker and never failed to have a good time. Check your prejudices at the door, step back in time and enjoy a nice beer or cider that won’t hammer your wallet. It’s a little rough around the edges - just like a proper pub should be!
