About us

You will find The Marquis of Granby in Westminster London within a short stroll of Millbank, Horseferry Road and Marsham Street - however you won't find another like it.

Step in to discover a traditional pub of unique character, revered for its eclectic range of real ales and its quality pub food, which are served, as they should be, with a generous measure of famous British hospitality.

With the Palace of Westminster so near, many politicians grace our pub. We are one of many historic pubs named after the Marquis of Granby, an 18th Century war hero who was known for rewarding officers from his own pocket. Some of these beneficiaries set themselves up as publicans, naming their inns in his honour.

The Marquis of Granby is one of many rare gems in the Nicholson's collection of great British pubs, reputed for their distinctive buildings, intriguing history and vibrant atmosphere.

Very cool old British Pub vibe. Great food, great beers. Serving real cask ales. Friendly staff, great service.

Cozy traditional pub, centric but outside of the crowded areas around the Parliament. The local draft beers are nice! Good snacks for a quick bite

Great place! Real cask ale with old standby Fullers London Pride and many of the new smaller breweries as choices. Had whole lamb shank in Sheppards Pie that was great! Also, sausage and mash with a great sausage that was mostly meat with a little bit of cereal. I'll be back!

We found this pub by chance, while strolling around the neighborhood. We had planned on having lunch elsewhere, but were attracted by the sign advertising their pies. We changed plans and did not regret it in the least. This was certainly the best pie we had in London. I had the slow-cooked beef rib pie while my wife had the steak and nicholson's pale ale pie, both superb. Customers were the usual mix of locals and business people, along with some tourists. We heartily recommend it.

Great little pub! Food is good! Staff are friendly and the environment is laid back! Our 10 year old was allowed to eat here. You order at the bar and they bring everything to your table. The fish and chips were the best I've had yet! Mushy peas were also great! No complaints all around!
