I had been wanting to go to this pub for years, however I have to say, it didn't live up to the great expectations I had built up for it. I personally just found it a little less interesting than I had thought it would be. Staff were friendly, prices a bit steep, but you can forgive that given its location. Still a nice place to go for a quiet pint and has the good selection on cask, but I just felt it looks better from the outside than it is inside, which I really hate to say :/ Summertime is probably nice standing outside in the mews.

This is a rare gem of a place. The landlord, Asfram, is very friendly. The fish and chips here is very well seasoned. I finished before I even remembered to take photos. 😆🥰

🚇 Hyde Park Corner 🍺 £6.85 Whitstable Bay Lager ❤️ Your next favourite pub . The Horse & Groom is located in a picturesque cobbled mews just off Belgrave Square in the heart of Belgravia. The nearest Tube is Hyde Park Corner which is a pleasant ten minute walk away. . This pub was built around 1830 along with wider Belgravia and the mews it’s located in. The mews setting and this pub’s beautiful architecture really set the tone for going for a pint here, I had a big smile on my face as I approached the door. . As you step inside, you walk into a cosy traditional bar which is full of character. The walls are clad in dark wood Georgian panels with a few pictures of The Beatles. The Beatles Manager Brian Epstein lived just around the corner and used to be a regular here, occasionally the Fab Four would attend also. There are two seating areas, a cosy corner to the left and poser tables to the right. The servery is well stocked and has brass fixtures and fittings to complete the traditional feel here. . This is a Shepherd Neame pub, so the beer choice is good. I decided on a pint of Whitstable Bay Lager, you don’t see this beer too often on the pumps in London. It was lovely pint and price point was to be expected. There is a British pub classics food menu available, fish & chips costs £15.95. . I arrived at 11am just as the pub was opening and was met at the door by a welcoming staff member who was getting the pub ready for the day’s trade. My Brother and Nephew were on today’s crawl and we plotted in the cosy corner and all agreed what a great little pub this was. We had a chat with the Guv’nor about the cost of a pint across London, he was very personable and a lovely fella. . The Horse & Groom is a wonderful pub in a seductive setting and a boozer you would love to call your local. I absolutely loved this pub and highly recommended a visit here. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 04.11.22

Another beautiful mews pub, slightly off the beaten track. Shepherds Neame ales; had a couple of pints of well-kept Spitfire. Good chat with the landlord, Afrim, & barman, Michael. Both top blokes. Former haunt of The Beatles, as their manager used to live around the corner, and so nice Beatles photos on the walls. An ideal place for warm weather outdoor drinking. Highly recommended.
