We were looking for a place to have a family lunch and this one was the only one without a queue and with available seats. We got seated right away. The place is nicely decorated and well kept. Service from the kitchen was very slow but staff was friendly at all times. Now, the food... Sodas tasted like hand sanitiser, guess its the liquid to clean the glasses, but was really off-putting. Starters were ok, the zucchini a bit too oily but tasty. Croquettes were really good. Fish and chips was very fresh with great flavors. Sunday roast was not so good. Small portions for the price, veggies too dry, and not really something I'd order again. Looks like great atmosphere for drinks and quick bites, but wouldn't recommend the roast. Overall an average pub lunch.

I just wanted to write because we really enjoyed our time there, but the end of our time there really disappointed us and I feel like I wanted to voice it. Two of us got there about 15 minutes before the third person. The two of us ordered food. The third person turned up but it took about 15 minutes before we had to call someone over to serve him and get him a drink. We had to ask for cutlery and when our drinks were finished we had to ask servers to order more. When we got our bill the service charge was £11, and it says the service charge is optional. We thought the service wasn’t worth paying £11 as servers didn’t seem attentive to our table. I asked to pay the bill without the service charge and the waitress asked me in a clearly angry tone “What was wrong?” I felt quite put on the spot and embarrassed. Then she said we couldn’t pay that original bill as she had to remove the service charge at the bar, so had to go back, remove it, and come back, adding to a sense of embarrassment and scene. I would definitely go there again but I left feeling mocked for something that is optional. I think servers should be much more attentive to ask for £11 and not expect it as a compulsory charge, especially for a three person table.

Vibey pub with a great atmosphere and a decent drinks selection, although quite pricey. Recommend booking your table here so you can guarantee your sitting.

The Caesar salad was very fresh, but I thought the fish and chips batter was too thick and was slightly over cooked. The wine choices are good, and the chips were perfectly cooked. It felt as though the staff were going through the motions though - there was no extra effort. It was quiet when we were there, but would imagine this would have a nice atmosphere when full.

A delightful setting for a delightful pub and restaurant. The Old Bank is a great addition to the Fuller's stable. Great high ceilings done in white make this a lovely light and airy place to eat and drink. Love the "Boardroom" at the back. Great staff offering wonderful service. The beer, lager in my case was both lovely and cold. A super visit.
