Lovely and cosy tavern with quite a modern feel serving great food and beer. We heard about this place through Instagram. It was a bit of a trek out from SW and SE London but worth the trip. First the beer selection is good. Plenty of craft beer which the bartender allowed me to try before deciding what I'd go for. The burgers were nice. We mostly had the double smash which I enjoyed but would've liked just a touch more of the burger sauce. Unfortunately they were out of some menu items. The brisket burger which they said is very limited and also the mac and cheese. The chicken strips weren't our favourite, coating a bit bland and hardly any sauce comes with them. Just a few strokes over the top. The seaweed and truffle fries were delicious. Great spot for groups of friends and families. Lovely staff too.
Delicious food on a quiet taco Tuesday! Highly recommend the nachos, think they were exceptional!! Parking a little tricky when we arrived as before 6pm all resident permit, but it can be found on side roads around the pub, and for normal dinner time I'm sure would be much easier!
Used to be a pretty solid place. Since discovering them in June, I have placed nearly 15 orders with them and dined in person1 time. Never had any issues, up until recently.I think this will be my last time ordering from here. Past two times my order was not good. Chicken is burned, no flavour and dry, burger bun is burned as well. Totes is blant and no spice. I'm not sure if their chef/cook changed. It's downhill now. Bit disappointed, used to be my favourite for burgers in London. As a north American this was the best place for me, not anymore I think.
Clean and tidy, The Leytonstone Tavern feels more restaurant than pub but that is what it is. A fine welcome and good service from behind the bar. There are potentially eight keg beers available, not the mainstream brands but very serviceable, at least the one I tried. No cask ales unless they have some bottled versions tucked away. Lovely people but not very pubby. A pleasant pint was enjoyed.
To say I love this place is an understatement. Since finding them maybe less than a year ago I have been back/ordered takeaway an embarrassing amount of times! Been in groups and couples, great atmosphere every single day of the week. Amazing food, great beer/cocktails, fun menu and really nice staff! Literally can’t get enough! Everyone I bring loves it.
