A stone's throw away from London Bridge in the heart of London's most popular foodie market you'll come across the hidden party under the bridge.
Don't second guess it, this is Borough Market's top pub offering the finest cask conditioned real ales, craft and draught beers. If that doesn't tickle your taste buds then ask one of the bubbly team to stir you away with a delicious negroni, classic G&T, or a glass of fizz. Make your after work drinks last longer by filling up on our infamous homemade foot long sausage rolls. Fancy something more substantial? You can't beat our mouth watering pub classics!.
Busy, lively atmosphere. The food and drinks table service, via the ‘Young’s On Tap’ app was very good. I’m not usually a fan of apps at pubs, but being so busy at the bar it was the best option. The only downside was that our pre-booked table was positioned upstairs in the semi-outside extension to the pub and it was cold. Some tables had overhead heaters but ours did not, so we had to keep our jumpers and coats on all night. Not ideal, so it took the edge off of an otherwise fun evening and we didn’t stay as long as we would have normally. Ultimately, it led to less revenue for the Wheatsheaf, so keep your customers warm!
Booked a table upstairs for a Uni reunion. Communication in advance was excellent Great choice of drinks. Pizzas we’re good and service was great. Really good atmosphere and reasonable prices. Would def book again for a group wanting a relaxed place to meet.
Good atmosphere and decent music, the place was also quite unique to be a bar but thr bar staff wasn't very happy and they were really tired of their work so they did not smile at all or try to be helpful. They simply served you by giving you what you requested but they were clearly not very happy of doing it. I even asked one of thr staff member if I could leave an empty pint glass somewhere and she did not reply, she just ignored me, picked it up and left which I do not get as I was literally trying to be nice and leave somewhere that is the best spot for them. Nevertheless I had a couple of drinks and had fun talking with my friends which means that did not ruin my experience in the place but it definitely can be better.
The staff, the music and the drinks at this pub are 10/10. The food though, oh my God. It is the most disgusting, foul, truly awful and sickening food I have ever tasted in my life. The chicken had raw bits, the beef smells and tastes like dog food, the buns were... rocks, really. If you want to get food poisoning, eat there. Otherwise, just get drinks. I like how they told us "there are leftover burgers from a party upstairs and they are free for all, help yourselves". And we tried. And we spat. Jesus Christ, honestly. Truly foul! There was definitely something wrong there. Which led us to believe that maybe... they weren't really leftovers... most likely people just couldn't eat them. I had several bites because I was hungry. Wish me luck. If I don't make it, well... you'll know why 😅
First time here but won't be the last. Great atmosphere inside the pub, inside Borough Market. Drinks were reasonable and if you can go by smell, food look and smells very nice indeed. Gets busy in the evening with great tasteful music.
