Stumble into the enchanting realm of the King’s Arms, where the walls echo with tales of the charismatic jesters that grace its barstools! This not-so-secret chamber, hidden in the heart of London, bids a robust cheer to weary travellers and eager ale seekers alike. Forget the rustic appeal; its charm is not in its decor but the vivaciously vibrant souls inside! Now, the pubs of Kennington may offer a suave embrace, yet only here will you be adopted into the endearing, boisterously British Pub Family! A kingdom where barkeeps not only memorise your drink of choice but often have it conjured before your weary bones settle at the bar. There’s no mimicry of this warm, personalised welcome in the land of the trendy! Embark on a wallet-friendly adventure with the most economical drinks in the kingdom of Kennington, and with eight screens ablaze with every sporting quest imaginable, your enthusiastic spirit shall not wane! Fear not, oh peaceful seeker, for a cosy nook awaits away from the competitive roars, offering tranquil refuge for your repose - it even has a garden. Journey through a crunchy paradise with Tayto crisps, a veritable feasting of Irish kings, or, if the stars align on a Sunday, partake in a roast so delectably divine it shall have you proclaiming, “By gum, that’s heavenly!” So, wanderers, enthrall yourselves in a visit, where beneath its seemingly modest visage, the King’s Arms conceals a world of hearty welcomes, relentless camaraderie, and a smattering of good old British and Irish humor! A visit is highly recommended. 😎

🚇 Kennington 🍺 £4.70 Fosters ❤️ A warm welcome awaits you at this proper locals pub. . The Kings Arms is located on Kennington Lane and is a five minute walk from Kennington Tube station. . There has been a pub on this site since 1850 and remarkably it has been rebuilt twice. This pub was built by Watney’s in the 1930’s. . The decor here bright, airy and simple. The bar is located at one end and is clad in pale blue tongue & groove panels, above the bar are a couple of TV’s which sit above the optics. At the back of the pub there is an adjoining room which leads to a good size beer garden complete with gazebos. Throughout the pub is a proper red pub carpet which adds to the oldschool feel of the place. . The beer choice is straightforward and full of well known commercial brands. I choose a pint of Fosters which was a lively pint and really hit the spot on this hot summers day. I couldn’t see any food offering but the bar was well stocked with Tayto’s and Pringles. . I visited around 3pm on a Saturday afternoon and there was a very welcoming feel on arrival. I was served by a very nice lady who was chatting to a group of locals gathered near the bar. The crowd here was older, the bulk of which were watching the horse racing on the telly. The pub was gearing up for a 60th party that evening which rubber stamps this pub as a community hub. . This pub is a fantastic example of why we should support our local pubs. This pub provides a place for the community to gather, interact and celebrate. I have never visited this pub before and I was instantly made to feel welcome, a sign of a well run pub. The Kings Arms was a marvellous experience and I can’t recommend it highly enough. . ℹ️ Information correct on visiting 06/08/22

A lovely 'local' pub with good beer and friendly staff. Sports being shown on TVs above the bar, horse racing at the moment but judging by the number of flags World cup football will be on as well. All good and a most enjoyable visit.
