Food was atrocious. Went for Sunday roast and everything was grim and felt like it had been cooked the day before and reheated. If you need proof see the photos. Do not eat here
We booked for a ‘dining and drinks’ reservation at 7.30pm on New Year’s Eve for our family. We arrived at 7.30pm to be told that the kitchen was closed, apparently it closes at 7.30pm on a Sunday. Why they would take bookings for New Year’s Eve ‘dining and drinks’ at the time the kitchen closes is beyond me. To top it off the staff were rude and offered no apology. To make matters worse they laughed at us on our way out. Our family then had to traipse the streets in the rain to try and find another place that would take the four of us for dinner at 8pm on New Year’s Eve. We ended up at The Big Easy who were so accommodating and we had a blast.
What a cute pub! Food is great, very traditionally English, and the atmosphere is so lively - surrounded by massive windows overlooking the kings road! They’ve also got a great smoking area with social benches right on the street. Would definitely come again, perfect location for tourists and locals.
No step access but entrance tight. No disabled toilet as they are downstairs. Almost all tables are bar stool height. Had Sunday roast sirloin that was nothing special, especially for the area. At least price wasn't crazy.
Very friendly service from one of the female members of staff and great Jubilee atmosphere! Varied menu and reasonable prices for King's Road, however the Sausages & Mash was a bit off, very dense mash almost like a paste...
