Visited here as a group of 16 for a 29th Birthday in January 2024. We had booked the long room, which is situated on the first floor above street level with beautiful high ceilings and huge windows on all elevations out onto the road. The food was excellent, we had all ordered a couple of weeks in advance but the menu was varied enough to cater to all different dietary needs. The staff were great, all incredibly attentive, helpful and friendly. The venue itself could not be faulted, the room is perfect for groups of up to 20 (potentially more) and the table setting very nice. All in all, we were very impressed with the overall experience and would definitely recommend the Elgin for anyone looking for a good venue to hire for a celebration / birthday. Thanks again to the team for an excellent afternoon!
This is one of those London pubs where the ceilings do not touch the top of your head, where the toilets are clean and the food really good. Our filo pastry dish was a 9/10, the steak 7.5/10 There is only one negative point but that can be rectified easily. When we were there the bar back that also cleans the tables had his pants fashionably low. So when he reached over the table next to us to grab something, our appetite for dessert disappeared quickly. In hospitality you can get away with a lot but your pants low that we can see your bum in your faded underwear and part of your crack visible is really bad. Surprised that the bar manager did not notice it at the start of the shift.
Wanted to experience our first pub lunch in London and The Elgin did not disappoint! Food was delicious and service was excellent. We got seated straight away (upon booking). Would highly recommend the Sunday Roast. We ordered the Pork Belly, Chicken and beef and got recommended the truffle cauliflower - that was delicious and creamy. Special mention to Diane for looking after us - she was really attentive and made some great recommendations! Would definitely come back!
Came here with work (approx. 15 if us) Catered to our every need. Diane was a busy bee and helped massively accommodate an international pallet. Great service, great food and they also have Chocolate block which is a great wine choice!
Quick stop just for a drink. Very happy to find a pub with many non-alcoholic options in their menu. It is a big pub, with a dinning area indoors, nice and spacious outside area. Looks overall very nice. They even have a small area for kids to play, what I got impressed. Beautiful vitrais.
