1 Lawrence Street, Kensington and Chelsea, London, SW3 5NB
If you’re looking for Chelsea’s best kept secret, you’ve found it. Hidden in the back streets, just a stone’s throw from Cheyne Walk, one of London’s most exclusive and celebrated residential streets, you will find our delightfully upmarket pub.
Since 1708, we have been providing food and refreshments to locals and visitors alike, making us a true Chelsea institution. Our celebrated patrons of the past have included everyone from 19th century artist JW Turner to 20th century crime writer Agatha Christie. But you don’t have to be famous to drink and dine here.

We pride ourselves on offering a warm, convivial place for everyone to relax and unwind. You may choose to sit in the bar to enjoy a simple bar snack (our Scotch eggs are legendary) with a quite pint, or head to our big, airy dining room, where our menu offers everything from innovative, seasonal dishes to pub classics and traditional Sunday roasts.

We serve real cask ales, lagers and a fine selection of wines, and we make a pretty mean cocktail too: just tell us what you like and we’ll shake, stir or mix it up for you.
