Considering we paid £112 for Afternoon Tea (for three people) this was an exceptionally bad experience, I do not recommend. We ordered the Afternoon Tea (two normal, one vegetarian) with classic afternoon tea, earl grey and rosebud oolong. The tea and teacups were served without milk, teaspoons and without any dish to put the teabag on after it finished brewing. The food served would have also required small cutlery and spoons (for chocolate mousse) but instead we only had a big knife and fork (inappropriately large for this meal) and how are you supposed to eat chocolate mousse out of a small bowl when you only have a big fork? We only got three tiny sandwiches per person and the vegetarian ones were especially disappointing. The spread and filling were so thin, you could barely taste it. The rest of the food was overpowered by chocolate and sweetness and the scones were completely dry. I have never eaten such bad scones in my life. The only positive thing I can say is that the ambience was beautiful and the staff was friendly. When you spend this much money you expect a certain quality and standard which was far from being met. We left feeling disappointed and won’t return or recommend.

Even though the restaurant was very busy, the staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant decor is unique, with exotic animal pictures on the walls and lots of plants surrounding you, giving you the feeling of being in a jungle. The food and drinks good too. There was a separate vegetarian and vegan menu which had lots of options. The in general, the portion sizes left us full with a few starters to share and a main each. The cheese soufflé in particular was delicious. If you're thinking of getting the Asian Salad as a main then I think it's quite light as there are no grains in the dish, which would have been preferable to make it feel like a main instead of a slightly bigger starter. Overall we had a great time and would definitely come back.

I really don't understand the hype around this place. The service was below average, table was 10 min late, food very much below average. We went for afternoon tea - set up was beautiful, but bread was soggy and salmon too salty for my taste. Desserts and scones were okay. The atmosphere and overall look of the restaurant is really nice and pretty.

As soon as we entered this restaurant we felt like being in a different world, the atmosphere is marvelous. The food is so delicious and wonderful arranged, a taste of heaven in shape of a dish. The service is extraordinary. We especially thank Fabio for this wonderful evening, he did an amazing job and we felt like special guests. We won’t forget it. Everyone from the staff had a smile on their face and was focused to try to make everyone’s night perfect. Thank you to each of you. We’d love to come back when we visit London again. Two of us went for afternoon tea and it ended up being one of our favorite parts of our trip! We were pleasantly surprised when it ended up being Alice in Wonderland themed as all the pastries were super cute! The presentation was beautiful and everything tasted wonderful, especially the raspberry red velvet cupcakes (I'm a sucker for the sweets). The tea was wonderful as well! The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous (ladies, you gotta check out the bathroom). The staff was very kind and even moved us to a bigger booth so we'd have more space for the two of us. Compared to many of the afternoon teas in the city, the price was great (about 40£ each with water + service charge). I'll definitely be return next time I'm in London to try more of their menu.
