About us

Sandwiched lovingly between Crouch Hill and Stroud Green, the Stapleton Tavern is a warm, welcoming, wonderful pub fit for a vibrant community.

Offering an ever-changing selection of fresh, home-cooked, British food, we pride ourselves on our seasonal menus, Sunday Roasts, and freshly-baked daily bar snacks.

Our bar boasts six real ale pumps offering a wide variety of guest ales and there’s a fantastic range of European and craft lagers to keep you on your toes. Add to this an extensive wine list, shelves full of interesting spirits, and assortment of traditional soft drinks, and there truly is something for everybody.

Each week we proudly present Monday Movie Night, screening a handpicked selection of new releases and old cult classics from 8pm. This takes place in our luxurious Chandelier Room. Every Thursday from 8pm, Treehouse Quizzes host Trivia Night, a night which see teams battle it out in a competition of wits, creativity and downright guesswork.

We also show a wide range of live sport, but don’t let it take over the whole pub, and almost never show sporting events in our dining area (apart from during the Rugby World Cup, when we will cave in a bit…), and are more than happy to accommodate bookings, however large or small, for a wide range of events.

Pop in and say hi, stop for a pint, try the bar snacks, stay for a meal, order a bottle, watch a movie, and head home with a guaranteed grin on your face.

Dogs and children are welcome but due to licencing restrictions children must be off the premises for 8pm.

Great cosy local pub with high ceilings and lots of room for larger parties. Sports shown, but not a sporty pub. Good for families and dog friendly, a good place to play games with friends

Unfortunatley this was how our chicken burger was served. Extremely dry bread and was difficult to chew the chicken. Asked for ketchup, but had to wait until we had almost finished our chips (small portion) to recieve it. Not just over priced but the food was of extremely bad quality. I know businesses are in hard times, but now a chef or service staff could think it was okay to service this is sad to see

Great atmosphere. Lovely staff. Has football on a Sunday but doesn’t bring usual football crowd and didn’t even notice it was on from dining room. Spacious and well laid out. Good for groups or pint at bar.

The staff are lovely, but sadly our food was not great the sirloin was very ropey and chewy, we had to complain about it and they gave us a discount. It was a special occasion that could have been more enjoyable. The pub is accepting of kids and babies but I had to clean the changing unit before use, this should be better.

Decent pub - nice friendly bar staff. Plenty of seats and not bad selection on tap. Back toilets are atrocious, but lots of quirky little touches elsewhere. Looks like a good spot to watch the football with various screens around and I noticed a large projector screen too.
