We are a small independent pub on Blackstock road in Highbury with an emphasis on great music, quality products and friendly service
Check out our large gin & whiskey menus and the fridge full of local & world craft beers; we'll serve them all really well. In the winter, warm up by our two open fires, and in the summer, catch the sun in our big garden. Join us for all major sporting events which we show on our 4 HD screens (plus 1 garden screen) and feel free to order in a pizza (we recommend our friends at San Daniele). You may have heard about the speakeasy door, we don't talk about it. Any questions, ask Gerty our cat.
Please be aware that (fortunately for some, unfortunately for others) we have a strict over 21s policy. We believe the pub environment should be reserved for big kids only. Gerty the cat has also told us to mention that we don't allow dogs. We're sorry for any inconvenience.
Bus: 4, 236, 19 & N19 stop literally outside the door.
Tube: Arsenal, 5 min walk, Finsbury Park, 7 min walk
See you soon!.

A cozy neighbourhood pub with real fire, and plenty of heaters in the garden. I really like that you can have direct delivery pizza for Yale’s Pizza
Seemed like a nice atmosphere but I was promptly told to leave as I had a dog. Certainly the first pub I've been into which doesn't allow dogs. If they are trying to differentiate themselves by describing themselves as a "dog-free zone" they are going the wrong way about it given around a 1/3 of households in the uk own a dog...
Nice place to go before Arsenal match. Not too busy but still a great atmosphere. Bit dark inside. Would definitely sit in the garden though
This is a nice neighbourhood pub with a good, buzzy atmosphere. The drinks are fine and apparently you can order in pizzas although we didn't get to do that. One word of warning though - it's really gloomy in the main bar so you have to take care not to walk into something on your way to the garden!
A super little pub, The Bank of Friendship offers a variety of beers from cask and keg. Beer is served with a smile and is both polite and efficient. A great pub
