Fantastic foodie pub located on the best stretch of the Thames, between Hammersmith bridge and Chiswick pier.
A lovely pub on the riverside in Hammersmith that houses a traditional pub on the ground floor, The Dining Deck Restaurant on the Upper Deck, an independent function room as well as a balcony and terrace offering gorgeous views of the landscape and the River Thames.
We welcome children and dogs from 9am every day for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, all of which offer a seasonal, fresh menu. Our wide selection of English and international beers & ales; new and old world wines; and spirits ranging from traditional to boutique.
With a beautiful garden to the side of the pub, we're a great choice for the sunny days and fires on both floors for the cold ones.
We have a large range of tables for dining up on the top deck, our Dining Deck Restaurant.

We had a big group Christmas lunch private event at the Old Ship and it was just perfect. Food and service was spot on! Everything was so yummy and Amelija our server was great. Definitely recommend if you’re thinking of having an event there.
We stopped here for a quick lunch before visiting the Fuller's brewery. The pub is located just next to the river (if you can get a table outside the view is very nice), lovely decorated (lots of artefacts related to the river, of course), staff is nice and friendly. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed by the (pricey) sandwiches we ordered : the bread was awful (why such a thick and tasteless bread?) and fries were kind of overcooked (too crispy). But the pub itself is a good choice for a drink though.
Great spot along the river. We went for the boat races and grabbed a drink to take outside and enjoy the view. Highly recommend and I bring all my friends her for a more relaxed evening/afternoon out. Haven’t tried the food yet but others around us were enjoying a late lunch. Overall, It’s a great spot.
The outdoor tables during the summer are fantastic, great view and atmosphere. Have been here a few times for coffee and drinks but today went for food as well and had to leave a review... Food was AWFUL!! It looked 1000 times better than what it tasted. 10/10 for presentation and 1/10 for taste, quality, value for money, cost. The roast costed over £50 for 2 people with non-alcoholic drinks. The meats were severely overcooked, the beef was inedible, the pork was dry and barely chewable. The potatoes were undercooked and rock-hard. The vegetables were extremely bland with no flavour whatsoever - it could have been any boiled soggy vegetable - I wouldn't tell which one if there wasn't a shape. I would never eat here again but would come for a coffee to break the walk because it's a beautiful place and the staff are really nice and friendly.
