Kona Kai is a Polynesian inspired, Hawaiian themed cocktail bar/club located on the Chelsea-Fulham border, close to Kings Road, between Putney and Earls Court and Chelsea.
Designed and build in 2011 by the renowned Cheeky Tiki designers, Kona Kia has become a port of pleasure for fun lovers from all over London. Hand carved doors, palms in front, displayed primitive art on walls, delicious rum cocktails, and the hanging canoe under the huge hut made with real banana leafs gives a feeling of being on a tropical island in the South Pacific.
Kona Kai has fast become one of the best-loved Cocktail Bars in South West London. It’s a popular cocktail bar predominantly patronized by young professionals out for a good cocktail or looking for a fun night out.
Also one of London’s favorite group party venues, Kona Kia provides special priced food and drinks, and Tropical Island atmosphere fun for groups small and large.
We also offer a huge selection of Tiki inspired cocktails, including sharing cocktails served in purpose designed canoes or sea shells, cocktail classes and delicious food. The areas tend to get booked in advance, so to avoid disappointment we ask people to reserve an area in advance, particularly large groups.

Went before the Chelsea Vs Palace game, great atmosphere!
Very cosy environment with a nostalgic feeling. The staff is friendly and supportive. Better to mention on the website available parking nearby.
Kona kai is always a good option for a spontaneous wednesday to saturday night out. Specially on saturdays. I really enjoy my nights out there. We had a few pizzas that they do in there (they have a pizza oven) that where really good for the price and after we just stayed there dancing and having incredible cocktails until 2 am. What struck me most about this place is the hawaian themed decoration. Extremely original and good to take nice pictures. Last but not least the service treated us incredibly well and you could tell the have a lot of experience making all sorts of cocktails.
Wouldn't have expected a Solid Tiki Bar just outside the main gate of Chelsea FC. Great drinks, nice atmosphere.
This is my first night out after the pandemic, the security were lovely which I feel like is a rarely these days. Our bartender, Ilian, was FANTASTIC! So friendly and made sure we were all having a great night, can’t wait to come back!! Also a great place for a boogie!
