About us

As of January 2018 The Spread Eagle became London’s first vegan pub with all our food, drinks, fixtures and fittings being plant-based and sourced sustainably where possible.

We have rotating cask ales that are specially brewed without the addition of finings, making them not only natural, but deliciously tasty and 100% vegan. We also serve hand selected small batch wines that you would rarely find on a regular pub menu.

Our 14 draught lines have a wide range of cult brands such as Beavertown Gamma Ray and Old Blue Last lager as well as a carefully curated cocktail list with innovative vegan twists on the much loved classics.

Our doors are open to everyone (families and dogs included) and we cater to all manner of lifestyles. Our fun & friendly staff are always on hand to make sure you feel welcome.

WOW. A plant-based pub that would please non-vegans and vegans. Must have the beet Wellington and the sticky toffee pudding 💖 the server even ordered extra sauce for us to try. I went last Sunday and I’m excited to come back again this Sunday. The portion was big too.

I had the beet wellington roast and sticky toffee pudding, both delicious. The roast is well priced in comparison to other places that serve vegan roasts, especially when you get a Yorkshire pudding! Staff were really friendly. Looking forward to eating here again.

Amazing roasts! Inventive and liked that they weren’t just mock meat. Really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place and all the staff were friendly. Worth a visit even if you have to travel across London like we did!

We had our Christmas meal here, and the team were able to cater such a large group (15) incredibly well on a busy Saturday. First of all the pub is gorgeous, the decorations are innovative and the whole place retains such a cosy feel, with lovely little outdoor space. The staff were all amazing, so friendly! They were also really dog friendly and provided a water bowl for our pup Now the food... I'll just say that our non vegan friends in the group, who were often reluctant to try anything vegan, said it was one of the best Christmas meals they had ever had, anf they couldn't believe that faux grois tasted exactly like it. And for the vegans, we all felt this was top-tier delicious food, easily the best in London! The three courses were all fantastic, and we will be back booking in for next year. I'm truly at a loss for words to convey the sheer wonder of my time at Spread Eagle – undoubtedly one of my cherished gems in the UK. Amid the enchanting aura of the Christmas season, my visit has etched an enduring mark in my memories; I find myself constantly reminiscing about it. For those who seek a leisurely atmosphere, Spread Eagle offers a pool table, perfect for unwinding with drinks in hand. Now, onto the culinary marvels that unfolded before us. The Sticky Toffee Pudding, an absolute must-try, I enjoyed every single bite, made with dates and topped with a rich toffee sauce, it’s a classic British dessert with a vegan twist. Let’s not forget about the main dish, Roast with Beet Wellington showcases the versatility of plant-based ingredients a true UK highlight. And let us not forget the star of the show: their house beer. Refreshing and delectable, it complements the menu to perfection, a choice fit for those who seek both refreshment and a vegan-friendly option. Whether sipped solo or harmoniously paired with your meal (much like we did), the house beer stands as a testament to Spread Eagle's commitment to excellence. In sum, I wholeheartedly endorse Spread Eagle. Highly recommend. A visit here is not just a dining experience, but an extraordinary journey of flavors and sensations that's simply beyond compare.
