    22/03/2012 Famous Docklands Pub
    • 5.0
    — The George (to give it its full name) is a very famous old docklands pub next to Asda's on the Isle of Dogs. It is beautifully kept inside with comfortable furniture and a light, airy feel. The garden is lovingly kept and a delight to sit in in summer. They serve food and have sport on television. One of the bars is named after broadcaster Danny Baker's grandmother 'Ma Baker bar' as his dad was a docker and Danny's nan would hold court in this pub most nights. Very friendly and welcoming - recommended.
