Visited for a cocktail before dinner. It was expensive compared to some places offering 241. I had a passionfruit martini. It was yummy, made perfectly. With half a real passion fruit. Cocktails were made quickly and brought to our table. Some nice interior but tables need a revamp. Staff friendly and helpful.
Lovely vibrant pub, with a great atmosphere, nice staff. We just had a drink so can't comment on food. Highly recommended
A wonderful pub, with a great atmosphere. The staff were amazing, very attentive and friendly. We ate from the Christmas menu and we all enjoyed the food.
A fairly standard pub with an astronomy theme, in a more contemporary building. Fuller’s pub and had a full food menu. It was pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon. I think in the area there are better choices especially for settings with more history. There was nothing particularly negative about the pub but I didn’t feel anything memorable.
Though it was getting full, the staff managed to find space for 5 of us. What attracted us was the tag, "Pie and Ale" and wanted to try some pies. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal selection, though there were quite a few unavailable items on the Sunday that we visited. The haggis scotch egg with tomato chutney was moist and flavourful. We also enjoyed the bacon and brie toasted sandwich, spiced duck pie with cauliflower cheese, roast beef with yorkshire pudding and the cornish pastry. The staff were efficient dealing with the Sunday crowd.
