We spent New Year's Eve in this pub. A very nice restaurant, as rustic as it should be and a sensational selection. Very good food, even better drinks and perfect service. Ordering & paying is possible at your desk using the QR code, the order comes to your desk very quickly from the motivated service staff. Special thanks to Dhipal who looked after us throughout the evening and anticipated our every wish. Cheers from TheTravelExplorersAT
Dhiral and Alina served us here, and they were both amazing. Bright smiles and excellent service. I had bangers and mash, and my daughter had the chicken burger. Everything was delicious. Would definitely recommend stopping by Hoop and Grapes whether you're a London local or travelling internationally. The small pub environment is one to remember.
This place was great and the food was really, really good (that pie was phenomenal). I suggest you get in there before 4:00 pm if you want to be seated to eat. This was our first experience in a London pub and we absolutely loved it!
Step into this old London pub, a part survivor from the great fire of London. It's a comfy spot with friendly staff, and the place is like a cozy time capsule. The walls have stories from surviving a big fire. But, just so you know, they don't do Sunday roast. Overall, a warm, historic hangout with a bit of a downside if you're craving a classic Sunday meal.
The Hoop and Grapes is worth a visit if you want that lovely feeling of an older pub. With its moody, comfortable lighting and close interior it feels snug and welcoming. The service was quite good and very friendly. Though it was a busy night, the food didn’t take long to come out either and arrived hot and fresh. The food was almost nearly excellent. My meal of the salmon cakes was outstanding and really delicious. The cakes were flavorful and the sauce with them was tasty. The potatoes were roasted perfectly and the salad offered a nice balance with different textures and flavors. The desserts could be improved upon, and should be, as they didn’t match the quality of the dinner. The brownie and ice cream and the caramel biscuit torte weren’t particularly remarkable (still solidly good) and they are the reason I gave the food a 4/5 stars. (I wish Google would let me do half points! The meal was a 5 and the dessert was a 4, so really it should be a 4.5 technically.) Still it is definitely worth a visit and hopefully you will enjoy the ambience and the food as much as I did.
