Sitting in the leadenhall market, this little gem is unassuming and yet its presence is undeniable. Great, friendly staff, reasonably priced and with that classic old London pub feel. Loved it.

We had our 2023 work Christmas party here for 20 people. The venue was perfect, and the events room was well laid. I had ordered food from the sharing platters, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Portion sizes and quality was great. Decoration was brilliant too. Staff was very attentive. Will definitely consider having an event here again in the future.

London is unique in boasting city pubs, the like of which you can not find anywhere else in the world. I must say that I miss those days when they were packed out at lunchtime and early evening with city bankers (and their bolwer hats (of the 70's). Fortunately, many survive to explore to soak up the atmosphere and to reminisce around bygone days. The New Moon is one such treat. Located on one corner of the stunning Leadenhall Market and Gracechurch Street, the New Moon is one such venue. I absolutely love the Cellar Bar. It has a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff are fantastically welcoming. Often, it is a real haven when the upstairs gets busy. There is a great range of beverages to enjoy whilst immersing yourself in a genuine London City pub. There are Sports screens for those who require such entertainment, but I am just content to relax in comfortable surroundings and count myself lucky that I am a Londoner. If you are interested in London pubs, then I would urge you to pay this one a visit. I only hope that it will be preserved for future generations.

We popped in at early evening on a weekday. The place was definitely popular! Lots of folks getting post-work drinks. They have some outdoor seating, limited indoor seating and an upstairs (although we did not go upstairs). The food selection seems to be larger upstairs. We only popped by for a quick drink before going on our way. The service was good for how busy it was. We still didn't wait long before getting our drinks. They have a nice selection of beers and some ciders. Would definitely recommend for a quick drink!
