A jewel in the crown of Tower Hill pubs, The Hung, Drawn & Quartered serves up freshly-prepared pub food and fine ales just a sceptre’s throw from the Tower of London. Lighter and brighter since its recent refurbishment, it's the ideal spot to reflect on
A walk round the Tower of London can be thirsty work - but the Hung, Drawn and Quartered is one of the best pubs in Tower Hill for finding refreshment. We’ve five fabulous ales on tap, several sublime lagers, plus bottled beers and wines from all over the globe.
Went here with my parents and we all thought the food was well prepared and generously portioned. The pie and desert were gorgeous and would definitely come here again. Service was lovely as well!
Nestled in the heart of London, "The Hung, Drawn, & Quartered" offers a remarkably cozy living room setting. The intriguing name pays homage to the square's historical significance, recalling the tragic executions that once took place nearby. Stepping inside, I was greeted by a warm atmosphere adorned with Christmas decorations and framed portraits that added a touch of beauty before I even took a seat. The meticulously prepared and authentically British cuisine further enhanced the overall experience, making it a delightful journey through both history and culinary excellence.
Went there for a late lunch. Still crowded, but they found us a table for two. Nice beer selection, excellent food - we had the parsnip soup, the whitetail, and the fish & chips. Handily located for the Tower of London (hence the name), and Tower Pier. Overseas visitors with mobility issues should note that the lavatories in London pubs are rarely easily accessible!
While visiting from the States happened upon this Gem of a pub after a stroll over the Tower Bridge from Bermondsey, and it was really quite a lovely experience. Don't let the name deter you, as this place is exactly what you need when visiting London. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food menu options were considerable and I would go back everyday to try everything if I could. The staff took food allergies very seriously (scanning a bar code), and went in depth about your order to make sure there were no medical emergencies. There was a decent selection of non-alcoholic beer and mocktails including zero alcohol Guinness. The slow-braised beef and ale pie for 2 was delicious, and not one bite was wasted. Bring your appetite and clear your schedule for the rest of the day. You won't be disappointed.
Wife and I enjoyed just using the small plate selections of pies as a sampler, and finished off with sticky toffee pudding. Everything was good and the server was excellent.
