Upmarket Nigerian restaurant in London. Fantastic atmosphere, but not too sure Sunday opening is of much point. Food is a little on the expensive side and portions smaller. I guess a city restaurant doesn’t come cheap 😅😅 staff not too bad, music was nice, as a foreigner experience, it’s not so bad.

To start off, the service is A1. Very friendly and welcoming staff. We went for the Sunday brunch. Only negative on the service side was that there was a bit of a delay on the food being served. The cocktails are okay, they are very generous and strong. Worth of a boozy brunch. Moving on to the food, the chicken was tasty but came out cold or just below warm so wasnt ideal. The lamb samosas and the suya were the highlights. I was very disappointed with the puff puff as i was looking forward to it. From the picture, ours were more dumpling looking so not as succulent as pictured on the brunch ad. My overall rating is 3.5 but this is because I can see room for improvement and I need to try the main menu to reach a final judgement. They have multiple floors which is very nice and I look forward to trying the roof top and club night in the basement.

I have been wanting to come to this place for a little while now so I was excited to come and check it out for myself. Unfortunately some of the items I wanted to taste wasn't there such as the spicy lamb chops which was sad! We decided to go for some bites instead. We went for the loaded fries with oxtail and chilli we really enjoyed this, it definitely hit the spot. We also ordered the fish pepper soup as the gentleman was so passionate about it and said it leaves a kick in your throat and we love our spice. Unfortunately not sure if it was just how the chef made ours but we couldn't even taste pepper strong let alone spicy and felt it was more bland so that was disappointing, the fish itself was tasty though. As they described it as a top dish I would like to think we were just unlucky today. For cocktails I ordered the palm wine cocktail which had palmwine! A coconut hennessey flavour I believe it was very nice but I love coconut so it was right up my street. My fiancé ordered the werey daiquiri and he said it had a kick to it and enjoyed his! The music and atmosphere was good I can imagine it on a firday night! Considering we had 2 cocktails and 2 plates under the bite section weren't expecting it to come upto £60 but it all adds up and of course london prices for cocktails makes a difference but the cocktails was worth it if I'm honest!

I came across this place on Instagram and was keen to try it as I love to support black owned businesses wherever I can. It’s a ten minute walk from my office so popped in after work on a Tuesday. Booked around 4pm for 6pm arrival and I was VERY impressed. Firstly the restaurant itself is beautiful, five floors with different purposes, a basement club, a rooftop, private dining floor and two main restaurant floors. The manager Tony is one of the nicest guys you can meet. Took time explaining the business, the food and just talking generally, he’s a real asset to the restaurant. Service overall was good, warm and timely. The food and drink? Wow. Had the oxtail loaded fries - 10/10 Also had the suya - 10/10 Can’t remember the name of the cocktail I had but it was the one with palm wine in it and again - 10/10. It’s a bit on the expensive side but I enjoyed what I had so much I didn’t mind. It felt worth it. Only went in yesterday and already booked to go back on Saturday and again next Thursday and try more! Feel like this will become a new favourite of mine!

FEEDBACK REVIEW **Note this is a feedback review, not actual criticism review. Restaurant decor was excellent, it does feel like a modern Africa style decor, if Wakanda was real, this would be what a restaurant in Wakanda would look like. They had 3 floors I believe and floor 2 was specially reserved for us. I love the culterly, and glasses, everything just looks so nice and inviting. Unfortunately that night was a celebration night for one of our birthday guest and the head chef was the only available chef on duty. Therefore all the meal did not taste right, uncooked and tasted different. Chef refunded our money and was apologetic. That is why I really cannot truly review this place because I hardly ate their food. FEEDBACK 1) the Snail should be Nigerian Snail, NOT Escargots! I can go to a Nigerian Wholesaler and buy £6 x2 snails that are bigger in size. The snail they are doing is escargot not Nigerian snail. So please provide Nigerian snail because people are paying £9 for this. 2) The suya came in a x2 skewered stick which is a very small portion for £9! I am sorry but that should cost maximum £4. Other Nigerian stalls/restaurant sells suya and I would get bigger portion for £6 let alone bigger for £9. Also the Palmwine definitely did not taste like palmwine! 3) the Pounded Yam with Egusi came inside this mini black pot. Aside from the texture of the pounder yam not being soft, my gripe was the smell. I don't know if it was burnt or the black pot had that smell, however I highly recommend NOT to use that black pot because I could not eat the food. Each time I bit it, the smell is overpowering in my mouth. 4) please train your staffs better so that they don't make a big mistake or embarrass themselves. Some of the staffs do not smile, or forget simple things or can't hold the tray properly. They need basic dining skills training. 5) puffpuff is overpriced! Either they need to reduce the price of this or give MORE portion. At the moment, I would NOT recommend this place until they iron out their issues.
