The views are stunning, the drinks are average, the price is what you'd expect for a bar like this. It was a real mixed bag of people and energies, which somehow made it very sad, but that could just have been an off night.
I purchased 4 tickets for NYE 2019 for my family, expecting it to be memorable which it was but for all the wrong reasons! On entering the building after shambolic security restrictions, the Showgirls never made an appearance and our coats were left unattended in the foyer. The function room was bare and stripped of all furniture, the champagne was questionable and the canapés non existent. The street food was cold, tasteless and unappetising. Staff were few and far between and the bar understaffed and ridiculously overpriced even for London. The area for viewing the fireworks (supposedly the best view in London) was in fact 3 windows running with condensation and a disco parked in front, which played the most appalling music all night. The atmosphere was non existent and other very disgruntled guests decided to leave early and party on the street outside. On complaining in January, I was offered a complimentary bottle of champagne and the opportunity to attend the Valentines night, I declined stating that a refund partial or otherwise would be better appreciated. I have continued to write to this venue with my complaint but no further correspondence has been forthcoming. I implore you - DO NOT TOUCH THIS VENUE for events unless you are prepared to be massively disappointed and substantially out of pocket! I would prefer to leave a 0 star review but there isn't the option!
An amazing bar with beautiful views off London city. Great atmosphere, fantastic food and lovely staff. Definitely recommend.
Spent £1500 for a vip duo table and this is what they provide..cheap seats, the floor and calling looks like an office, street food (yes not even a decent full meal) , A4 paper casually sticking on the wall. A total ripoff and waste of time.
We booked a very expensive 2019 NYE event here (£200 and that was on “super early” sale!). A total oversell. It’s just a room with some disco lights, a pretty bad DJ, cheap food and the most ridiculously overpriced bar I’ve come across and the bar was also tiny (Johnnie Walker Black Label was £210 for a bottle - it’s retail price is around £20, that’s just extremely insulting). There were no free shots as promised, no free champagne and canapés reception, the champagne distributed at 12 was given sparingly and the “live food stations from around the world” was just two buffet tables of warmed up party food! We only spent about 2 hours there before leaving as it was completely boring. There was nowhere to sit and no tables at all. Everyone was crowded by the edges where the windows were. When we tried to sit down by the window a very rude security man just pointed at us to stand up. Staff were totally incapable at the bar and looked scruffy as if they had just finished a day at school. Overall a really bad experience and a complete waste of money! Also it was promised to be a multi-floor event but there was only one floor! The other floor was if you had VIP tickets!
