A great, cosy space for watching a play, stand up comedy with our without kids with a small but friendly bar.
We visited last year with grand kids aged 9 and 12. We enjoyed the show so booked for wintery tales this year and looking forward to the show. (10/12/23). This performance was AMAZING. The two women actors were enchanting and kept not only the children but the adults spell bound too. It was well presented very personal and interactive and imaginative. So looking forward to seeing next years production. Well done and thank you to all crew and cast who made this wonderful production. Absolutely loved it.
Watched three acts of love last night. These three short plays did not disappoint. These three women have amazing talent. We were both drawn into the plays . You need a tissue for the third play . If you don’t get a lump in your throat and a tear in your eye , you must be made of stone. Still talking about the play over breakfast. Well done ladies. Imogen, Laila, Rebecca. Thank you for amazing plays .
Have watched quite a few productions here in Newcastle. Watched Jerry and Sewell yesterday. It was fantastic. The stage set was absolutely amazing. The cast absolutely brilliant. The only time I felt uncomfortable was the reference to Moat. He should never be given a mention. But overall Fanta.
The Live Theatre was host to Geordie Lecturer Alex Niven. It's a good place where the action is on your lap. His book was subject to question and answer session with Michael Chaplin no less. The place was packed the q&a was very good. Excellent sound quality for those with hearing aids.

The Broad Chare offers all the best bits of a traditional ale-house – well-kept beer, honest food, friendly company, good cheer – with a fresh, modern touch. Nothing fancy, nothing fussy, just genuine warmth and an open-hearted welcome. A proper pub
