A mid 19th century building converted from three cottages with some later additions. The original pub entrance was the other side of where it is today although no external traces of it remain since the pub was extended many years ago. An old photo behind the bar shows how it would have looked. There are two distinct bar areas with the much larger split level lounge to the front. The landlord is a former chef but tells his cooking days are over and as a result, no food is served in this establishment. Opening hours vary throughout the week and note that the pub is not open during the daytime between Monday and Wednesday. This is very much a locals' pub but visitors are made welcome and raising the subject of beer is almost guaranteed to get several conversations going!.
Great little pub with friendly staff. Decent sized garden with plenty of tables. Serves both Aspalls (£4.80 👍) and Thatcher's Haze. Defo go again if I was in the area.
Super pub. Well looked after garden. Ghost Ship on tap. Weren't doing food on Saturday lunchtime but landlady offered to make me a bacon roll. Wish I could have come back in the evening for the pizzas. Has kept it's pool table which is always a good decision.
Great little pub in Harpole. About to change management on the 28th of July, 2022. Lovely atmosphere including the locals, hikers and passers-by. Barmaid was exceptionally nice. I have included the local church as it is a great example of church architecture.
Enjoyed a lovely sunny day sat in the garden with some live music on. The pub was nice inside and I loved the Binty art work outside!
Really tasty food, lots of plant based options which is why I wanted to visit. Its a fair distance from our home but I would definitely return.
