Sat here with chips cooked in oil that should have been changed 2 days ago. Staff walking round and looking at dirty tables but not actually bothering to get a spray or cloth out to wipe them. Asked to have my drink changed because lipstick was still on the glass, to be handed a fresh glass but not have the drink changed. Used to work in pubs, I'd get it if it was busy but there's barely anyone in here at nearly 5.30pm on a sunday. If the staff care that little they really should find new employment.
It's a seaside pub, on an out of season night. It was quite empty, there were s few people and a couple of dogs that were constantly barking which was a bit annoying. The staff were friendly helpful and polite, there looked a good choice on the menu, but they do a carvery and that was me happy and well fed. Of all the times I have been to Skegness this is only the second time I have used this pub. Both times at different times of the year, both completely different atmospheres, I have to say I prefer out of season when it's alot quieter.
We've had 4/5 meals here and have never had a problem. Always fresh and tasty. The carvery is especially nice with a good choice of meats and vegetables. Dog friendly as well which is good for us. Nice view of the sea if you sit upstairs. Staff have always been helpful and friendly.
Big large room, pool table in the corner. Outside patio and food being served. One real ale available. Popped in for a beer which was good. Good visit.
Absolutely awful. I had a small portion of fish and chips and orange juice. My drink had more water in it then juice. I asked to get more orange in it but even after adding it still tasted like water. Also, asked for ice and it was never put. Very inattentive staff. Fish was dry and chips were horrible. Tasted like nothing and looked terrible to me. Anyway, very disappointing experience for such an overpriced place. Never go again.
