Great place for socialising. Very recently decorated and is lovely inside. Bar staff are far very friendly and a good choice of drinks are available. Update: Now under new management. Food not being served at present.
Popped in for food after work on Sunday afternoon. The Sunday roast was very good, with a good selection meats and plenty of veg. I am a bit picky with my veg, but the chef was very helpful and catered for my needs 😁
Unfortunately we ordered two club sandwiches. Which took over 20 min to arrive. People who ordered after us received food before us. Stated was a bloomer on the menu.Very thin bread which was unfortunately burnt. Iceing on the cake was a long grey hair with bacon wrapped around it. Hopefully was a bad day. The staff were friendly did tell them that at best it was poor.
Decided to visit for food, after a long wait and a mixup on table numbers, their fault not ours, my small portion of Lasagne turned up. To say it was disgusting is polite. So badly burnt on the bottom half it should have been thrown in the bin by the kitchen staff, never again.
Really lovely. 1st time here and felt very welcome. Staff and fellow customers were very friendly. Food was delicious and very good portion size. Was nice that the chef came out to see if everything was OK with our food. Definitely recommend this dog friendly pub!
