About us

Lime is an independent restaurant and bar with a passion for sourcing local, seasonal produce, creating fresh menus prepared daily on site. We have an assortment of delicious cocktails, the finest old and new wines and an extensive selection of continental lagers and real ales. Lime is located opposite the Lowry Theatre on the modern waterfront destination of Manchester that is Salford Quays home to Media City.

Lime was delighted to hold a private dinner for Robbie Williams in June 2014.

Had a pre theatre meal here with my husband. Staff were friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was very pleasant. Food lovely.

I love coming here and do so as often as I can. My last visit was Christmas Eve 2023. The bar and restaurant decor has a contemporary feel with some wonderful throwback pictures of 1990’s (some late 80’s) local rock legends. There are some really comfortable seating booths with T.V screens. Great for when football is on. There’s some good beers at the bar too. I liked the Pale Ale. Food is reasonably priced. There is a superb Asian food menu along with the usual Gastro classics.The Sunday roast is lovely. There is music on in the evenings at the weekend if you like dancing but it does get busy here at night. The Lime Bar is a lovely place to visit in Media City. Very friendly and very stylish. There is also an outlet mall, theatre and car park next door so Lime Bar is very handy if you’re in Media City for shopping or catching a show. Thanks for reading

We had our first visit, and it certainly will not be our last. Food was really tasty, service was excellent and the atmosphere was good, having football on the screens helped with the younger and older guests in our party. Would highly recommend

Great place! Bar service great, booked a table requested a booth, but too busy, At table service, waiting a little longer than normal, but expected as busy, had mushrooms on sour dough, fish and chips, grandad hot dog all foods spot on!! Second visit, slight change in the starter mushrooms, missing few bits from last time, shame....

We went for dinner here yesterday after a long day at a conference we were attending. Great decision! Friendly and professional staff who greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome. One mark of good restaurant training is when they get back to you at some point to ask if everything is OK with the food, which they did. There was a bit of a delay getting our bill but it didn't really matter as we were enjoying our time chatting. I ordered the spicy squid for starter -- it was one of the best ones I've had (and I love squid). Perfectly cooked and well-seasoned, crispy and tender. Good portion size too. For my mains, I had The Spider sushi, consisting of soft-shelled crab and avocado. Delicious and filling! Their poke bowls are great too. Beautiful plating as well. They both have western and Japanese and Japanese fusion selection. Highly recommended!
