Didn't stay overnight so can't comment on the rooms, however the food and service for our office Xmas meal was fantastic. The one teeny thing that was missing was Christmas crackers on the table! What's a Christmas do without a silly paper hat!! Also, no background music, but I'm sure our loudness would've drowned it out anyway!

Rooms are a little to be desired, but the staff and the restaurant are world class. We had breakfast and dinner and were blown away by the flavors, presentation and quality of the food and beverages. The staff was top notch. The rooms are small and basic, but clean. Walking distance to The Racecourse Ground. There’s a good sized fenced in park just a block away perfect for our dog. Overall would stay again and will definitely recommend to our family and friends.
We booked the Lemon tree as a break in journey from Northumberland to North Wales. The staff were so friendly and helpful and I have to say the food we had for our evening meal was outstanding. The building looks very interesting I think a converted church and when we parked up we could see that the restaurant and bar was busy, I'm now not surprised! Our room was slightly disappointing as I'd say it was more suited to single occupancy and the decor was a bit dated. Having said this the bed was comfortable and the shower was spacious and we did sleep well. All in all it was good for a one night stay and the food was the highlight.
nicest hotel I could find near the train station and it didn't disappoint. was able to leave luggage as I arrived early. On my return, my luggage had been taken to my room. The room was as expected and very pretty, nice deco. Free water and tea/coffee facilities. Only couldn't fill kettle at the sink had to use a cup. Due to weather, room was very warm however a fan was provided. Bed was comfy although this hotel is on a very busy road and someone was playing music loudly till 9.30pm. Staff at reception were pleasant. I did not eat here. Nice place to stay.
