Popped in for a drink and lunch with my daughter after a birthday treat - friendly staff and locals - excellent beer!
Great pub. We were supposed to meet friends for dinner but they got stuck on A14. Landlady was so accommodating changing the dinner plans two or three times waiting for our friends. Lovely little country pub. Cosy, pleasant and the food was great. We would definitely recommend.
Nice rural pub, friendly landlord and locals. Nice, sinple food, decent range of beers and ciders. You can stay over in a motorhome on their carpark if you want to more extensively sample the range.
We visited the Red Lion whilst staying nearby. With social distancing and other Covid-related restrictions in place, we had to book in advance to get a table. The food was reasonably priced, but very tasty. Our party had 5 different main courses and 4 different desserts, all of which were thoroughly enjoyed! The staff that we dealt with were all very friendly and I will happily return next time I'm in the area.
Excellent Food at a very reasonable price. Ate there twice whilst staying at Brook Meadows Holiday Chalets and Campsite in late May. Can recommend the Baked Brie sharing platter, the Fish pie, the Stilton Chicken and Thai Green Curry and if they were representative, then pretty much anything on offer. Also a very good selection of wine on offer. Would definitely visit again.
