The Royalist opened in 1962 and its exterior is of its time, although we have added a new decking area recently. We are a family friendly pub, with a warm welcome to customers old and new.
The pub comprises of a lounge bar to the front, which is mainly used for dining, to the rear is a sports bar showing Sky & BT sports on several TV’s, this room also offers traditional pub games including a pool table, the room is also available to hire for parties. To the rear of this room is a covered smoking area with seating and an enclosed beer garden with pizza area and picnic benches. Our food offering is traditional home cooked food with the unique experience of cooking your steak to your liking on Steakstones.

Cheerful and helpful staff. They did they're best to make a sombre occasion as respectful as they could.
Lovely, relaxed atmosphere with friendly and chatty staff and a beautiful carvery. Definitely recommend.
Food amazing, excellent service, will go again.
The staff are so friendly and obliging, service very efficient. We go here nearly every Sunday for lunch. Great value for money. We have tried many restaurants and pubs in the area but always come back to the Royalist.
Pleasantly surprised. Amazing Sunday roast, great value for money, large portions. Lots of veggies with roast. Good meal options. Will eat here more often!
