About us

The Manor House is a privately owned and run by Phil & Kara.

Developed into a gastro pub and freehouse in 2005 The Manor has won several awards for its locally sourced food and drink.

We try and source all our main ingredients from the Quorn, Loughborough & Charnwood and the East Midlands. All our fresh fish is UK sourced.

All our food is freshly cooked on site and we cater for children, have fabulous traditional Sunday roasts, hand stretched pizzas, lunchtime sandwiches and omelets or just a great a la carte menu.

We are open for breakfast and coffees every morning so if you want a quick meeting please feel free to pop in and use our superfast broadband and free wifi from our own sever.

Since 2016 we have had some luxurious bed and breakfast rooms, which are some of the best hotel rooms in the Loughborough area.

Whether its business or pleasure for those visiting Loughborough University or the Business School we are only a couple, of miles from both and right next to the Great Central Railway working stream railway.

Similarly, if you are in the area for leisure reasons such as Beaumanor, Hall Bradgate Park Swithland Reservoir, The Space Centre, Leicester Tigers, Leicester Football club or the river Soar at Barrow Upon Trent, where we can organize paddleboarding if you want, all of them we are just down the road.

We have electric car charging points, which is free for our overnight guests, plenty of parking too.

In addition to the restaurant and hotel we have three business function rooms for groups and teams meetings or conferences of 2 - 100.

East Midlands Airport M1 A46 near the new free port and HS2.

For the sporty types Loughborough Endowed Schools Sports fields are next to our hotel and Prestwold Hall Motor Racing is only a few miles away.

From the middle of December2021 we will be able to host civil weddings in both our upstairs Board Room or for larger ones in The Pavilion. Please be aware we do not organise the registrars, that is down to the happy couple.

So, we can offer celebrations of life, wakes, family anniversaries, boutique weddings, private parties, overnight accommodation, meeting and function facilities or you can just pop in for a pint and our famous fish and chips.

Anything else just call us, we will see what we can do.

Not been for a while as we're not really local so decided to go for Saturday lunch and wow what a treat and so worth the journey. Food is top quality (and I'm a fussy eater) service impeccable and surroundings awesome. Can't wait to revisit.

Visited for a celebration of life wake today. The venue room at the back of the Manor House was really good and stylish. Seating and tables were also very good. Only one tea/coffee station made a long queue build up but the food was tasty.

I went to a wedding here one Sunday lunchtime a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised. It's a beautiful venue in a location that isn't difficult to reach. There are plenty of parking spaces, the function room and the bar are very tidy and the food was great. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a venue to get married, it's lovely. We were in the rooms at the back but I did take a peek into the other rooms as we passed and it was very busy so the Sunday roast must be a winner!

Stopped for Sunday Lunch. Very busy place and with good reason. Excellent food good service and a good selection of beers and wines. Did not stop over so cannot rate the rooms but the buildings in which they are housed looked good. Had the Sunday roast, excellent. The manor house is situated in open country backing onto the grand central heritage steam train line. So, if you are on the bar side of the place you get steam trains going past every so often. It's got a long back garden and car park so you do not get affected by noise, smell etc. It's also over the road, literally, from a station on the line, with more car parking and free to enter. Though a fee if you want to get on the platform or ride the trains.

Very disappointed, booked on-line for 5.45 last Sunday, we were 6 minutes late due to my wife’s working Remembrance Days parades. To be told that we were late, and doubt if the kitchen had any food for us. We asked the waitress what was still available? she replied all of the roasts, so we ordered, only to be disappointed some time later with the update that no roasts were available! Leaving us a couple of possible options of the Sunday menu. We received an apology from the manager who didn’t charge us for our drinks. We decided to leave and enjoyed a Sunday roast in another restaurant. This is the second time we’ve booked a later meal on Sunday and on the other occasion again there were a very limited number of roasts available, even with our very advanced booking for 6. The food is great when available just be mindful when booking later on Sunday.
