During the 18th century we were known as The Marquis of Granby, a military hero of the period. Our current name comes from The Packes, a prestigious Victorian family of land-owners from Leicester. Charles James Packe restored The Packe Arms in the 1800s, to this day as guests enter the building they can see the date stone above the front entrance which reads, 1831, C.J.P.
A country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character, our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.

Absolutely loved it here. Really friendly staff, great service. Meals were lovely. What a lovely pub! Love a vintage inn
I booked a table using the app. We were served and looked after by Dannii, who was very kind, helpful, and attentive and knowledgeable about drinks and food. Tom and Dylan served food to us and even though they were busy they were pleasant, happy, and attentive. I would like to say the Chef, Chris and his team, James, Scott and Carl. Do a brilliant job behind the scenes in creating wonderful food - which tastes delicious, and looks amazing. Thank you very much, guys. You made a grey Sunday something special.
It was our first time visiting here and it’s such a lovely place. Staff were polite, particularly Eliza - Great service. We just had drinks, so we’ll definitely be coming back again to try the food!
Went for a lovely meal here last night. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed despite being a Friday evening. It was nice to take our time and not feel rushed. There were plenty of options on the menus to choose from. I had the turkey from the festive menu and it was delicious. The desserts were also really good, my friends really enjoyed the profiteroles! The staff were friendly and helpful, especially our server Dannii who ensured we had a wonderful evening.
This place was amazing for a random lunch on the way back from Yorkshire to Surrey. The food was delicious and they had a great menu. The staff were super friendly and really efficient. The lunches came out nice and quickly and perfectly cooked. Will definitely try and remember this place and visit again next time we are passing.
