2 months ago After seeing The Red Lion on Facebook for sometime now we finally decided to come and give them a go. The biggest thing for us was finding a local business using fresh, local ingredients and this was clearly evident in the food we had. A couple of tapas dishes to start and they were divine! pulled brisket tacos and lamb bonbons - both were extraordinary and presented very well. For mains we had the bistro rump steak and the lamb cutlets, again excellent and cooked to perfection! The bistro rump is tall and juicy and looks like a fillet you might find in a high end restaurant - an absolute steal at £20! We just could not resist the sound of the homemade desserts and again they did not disappoint - one of the best cheesecakes I have ever had and the sticky toffee pudding was also very nice. Overall an amazing experience, a well kept modern pub with friendly and attentive staff, really good drinks selection and will be recommending to everyone.

Just back from Sunday Lunch and it was the best I’ve had in a long time. Now sitting at home feeling comfortably full and happy after having a turkey roast - each bit of it was perfect - well cooked pigs in blankets, crispy roast potatoes, carrots cooked to perfection, a massive Yorkshire pud and a huge pile of turkey. Had the brownie for pud and it was beautiful - warm and fudgy with a slightly crisp top. Husband had the Sticky Toffee pud and that was divine too. Service was spot on and we were seated in a comfortable corner. We came with Dogs and Children and all made welcome. Will definitely be coming back.

Excellent Sunday Roast, very warm and cosy throughout with friendly yet professional service. Having eaten at many pubs locally, I must say The Red Lion is second to none! You can really taste the freshness and quality and although not cheap, the value is incredible as you certainly get what you pay for where quality and service are concerned. Absolute gem of a pub, can't wait to try the tapas.
