This pub opened during the 2nd world war as The Bricklayers Arms and for some time it was renamed Shifty O’Sheas before reverting back to its original name. The pub was extended in 1983 to incorporate adjacent shop. After a two year closer the pub was extensively refurbished and reopened its doors in March 2015. It consists of one large open plan L-shaped room and out the back is a partially covered courtyard/smoking area.
