We went here for an evening on a work trip. It's probably the most unwelcome I've felt in a pub! When we first arrived the girl behind the till was lovely, however I'm guessing the land lady arrived a little while later. Firstly it looked like the girl was in trouble for letting us play darts, no idea why as we were playing sensibly and from then on the welcome was not friendly in my opinion. I got the impression that as we were not local we were not welcome.
Cracking place, a proper pub! Great service, decent beer and friendly locals, worth a visit if you're staying or visiting.

We happened by this pub on our way to a convenience store from our mooring on the canal at Hinkley. There was a real sense of community about the place but as outsiders we were made to feel very welcome. Enjoyed our visit.
