Tough drive on the motorway, so an inspired decision to take a minor detour to this amazing pub/restaurant. 6X on draft in perfect condition (I wasn’t driving) and a great menu that coped with an array of demanding eaters including vegetarians. Friendly staff and a great experience overall which restores my faith in British hospitality, especially on a wet Tuesday in January !
The team went above and beyond to ensure our lovely food and drinks for our group of 19 were exactly right - AND we had lovely desserts to wrap it up! Special praise should go to the Chef - I think we all would have liked to see her/him to thank them personally.
We last minute booked here on a Sunday afternoon and boy are we glad we did! Walked in to such a cosy vibe! Nicely lit, lovely relaxing music..perfect for a Sunday chill! The best part was of course the food! Wow! We had a starter, main and dessert and every single dish was just as beautiful as the last! I would highly recommend the white chocolate and raspberry creme brulé! I didn't want it to end! We were completely full and 100% satisfied. Unfortunately we aren't local but if we was we would be here every week. Well worth a visit if you are around the area! Thank you to all the team who served us. You all do a wonderful job!
Great Sunday lunch here, so nice to be offered a variety of beautifully cooked food. Friendly staff, unhurried service, high chair provided as requested on booking. Recommended. Sept 23 Another lunch this time on a Friday from the fixed price menu. We chose 2 courses for £17, all delicious.
Such a cute pub! Charmingly old and it's obvious that the renovation was done with love, paying a LOT of attention to detail. Service was brilliant, we arrived quite close to kitchen closing but they still accommodated us, which I appreciate. We ordered the king prawn bruschetta which was AMAZING. We regretted ordering just one... The roast was really good, each meat was well cooked, and the roast potatoes were lovely. We'll be definitely be back!
