Very good atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was delicious and hot.
Reasonable beer prices and on day no food was served but they give us a free sandwich with the beer.
Holt's dark ales are unmatched for balance and taste. The buttermilk chicken burger was a tasty plate of food, and at £3 a pint or a half-litre bottle, washed down with a choice of delicious dark ales. Good, busy, attentive, efficient staff too. I'll be back.
Had their firecrackers chicken. Right amount of spicy. Chicken is cooked perfectly and served in massive chunks. Service was on the medium to slow side. Portions are very massive. Overall I'm happy with the food
Secluded, Fantastic, slightly upmarket feeling pub/gastropub. Renovated in recent years. Fantastic value for money. Very cosy, large menu with both typical pub and higher quality food. Big bar, loads of beers and harder stuff. Quick service. Great and friendly staff. Awesome outdoor rear areas with great shady or sunny spots. Smallish private, high quality car park to rear, with narrow entrance. Highly recommended going for lunch during a quiet day when it's not crowded.
