Had the Sundsy lunch, the beef was like leather and I was unable to eat it, also the parsnips were overcooked and hard. Complained but this wasn't dealt with very well at all. I would not recommend eating here
Lovely dog friendly pub. Allowed all 3 of our border terriers in and offered a water bowl. Lovely atmosphere and we felt very comfortable whilst in there. Sometimes when we have the dogs with us we feel uncomfortable or on edge. There was none of that here. We will most definitely be back when we are in the area.
We attended the Boxing Day brass band afternoon and were extremely impressed with the service from staff at the pub. We enjoyed drinks and pizza as well as the brilliant festive brass tunes xx we will definitely be back
Wowsers.. awesome food!!! Very comfy surroundings and interior I had a mushroom bourginion pie. Brilliant food Definitely worth a visit if you have not been here before EXCELLENT SERVICE! Try the roast dinner Beautiful served at 100 degrees Brilliant staff especially tasha Felt very welcomed as soon as I entered Very quaint decor Plenty of space Old style farmhouse booths Really like it here Can't wait to go back!
Popped in for a bite to eat on the way back to Blackpool with the fella. What a lovely place, nice warm cosy atmosphere. Staff were lovely and personable we had a good giggle with Tash who was serving us. Wonderful lady absolute credit to the place. Starters we shared the Stilton and garlic button mushrooms, very tasty, nicely presented. Just the right balance of stilton .. not to overpowering but you knew it was there. Mains I had the Roast duo and you could choose from beef, chicken and pork, I went for the chicken and pork combo. I have to say it is one of the best Sunday dinners I have had out. The chicken was lovely and moist just dropped off the bone, and the pork was so tender it just melted. It was refreshing as well to have what seemed to be proper mash from fresh it tasted amazing. The fella had the Mushroom bourguignon pie, the pastry was lovely and melted in the mouth, the sauce the mushrooms were in was rich and full of flavor. He really enjoyed it. Empty plates all round. Fab food, lovely environment, glad we stopped. Will be back again in the near future
