This historic pub has just changed hands and word about it is slowly spreading. Hopefully the xmas season will help it get on its feet. We were to late to order food, so I did not give it a star, but I believe some of the kitchen staff have been retained. So it should be as good as it always was.

Went to check out the history, have a drink & a bite to eat and managed to go on the day they were closed because they got married ! Sarah (the bride) still invited me in to have a look around and see the photos. She even offered me a drink to celebrate her wedding ❤️ Definitely coming back here. The food and service is sure to be good because the the landlord & landlady are so friendly and helpful. ps. Best wishes on your wedding. 🥳

Unfortunately our experience here was terrible , hardly anything available of the menu , no chicken no fish no pies no lemonade! Ordered vegan hotpot when it arrived there was no sliced potato on top , only when I questioned this was told chef had used all potato on last order!! Again we was only advised of the lack of choice available once we were ordering . Peppercorn sauce arrived after my son had eaten his steak. Such a shame as this was a birthday celebration, sadly we wouldn’t return or reccomend . When we was paying no one asked how are meal was or offered a apology for our hideous visit .

A spare of the moment, visit for a burger and glass of wine. Must say the burger was one of the best we've had for long time. A dash of chilli jam gave it a little bit of a bite. Highly recommend the home made food a pleasant welcome at the Hob Inn.

Absolutely delicious lamb shank and Gammon steak. Wonderful 2 hour tea in a sunny July afternoon. Lovely chilled atmosphere and pinot grigio under the parasol. Noreen on fine form. Top pub in Brig.
