Can't rate the rooms here as I did not stay in one, so have no experience of them. The carvery I had was tasty with an average amount of meat, plenty of veg available to go with it. Only disappointment was the lack of sauces (mint, horse radish etc) although the gravy was nice. The service was good
What a delight it is staying here. My second visit and I will definitely come again. The room was spacious as was the bathroom. Very clean and good quality bed linen, towels also. good tea and coffee selection, very roomy hanging space, good size TV and good picture/reception. Very quiet, had a great nights sleep, was accompanied by my girlfriend aand she loved it too. We dined in the bar, carvery for me, cheese pie for the better half, both delicious. Breakfast was as I remember.......Awesome! worth going for alone. We were staying over to see The ELO Show at the Lowry, it made the whole trip brilliant, to come back to a lovely room etc. There's no where I'd rather stay when visiting Manchester.
Rooms are big and extremely clean with an amazing shower. Food in the pub is outstanding we both had the cheese & onion pie god it was so good. Breakfast is self service with such a wide choice very relaxed breakfast.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The experience was delightful, and the employee's consistently pleasant and polite demeanor added a special touch to my visit. The warm hospitality truly made it a memorable stay. Breakfast is good thats is another bonus
We stayed in the hotel at the Boat & Horses on a Thursday night and had a number of drinks in the pub in the evening. The hotel room was lovely, clean, and great value for money. I would say it's similar (probably better to be honest) than a Premier Inn. We had drinks in the bar whilst listening to the quiz going on in the background. I'm sure we sampled most of the locally brewed J.W.Lees beers, and all were lush and great value for money. Breakfast was included with our stay which was an all you can eat buffet. I don't think there was anything that wasn't inedible. I definitely had a soft spot for the black pudding and hash browns. The food menu looked delicious as well, however; we had already eaten so didn't sample it (the on show carvery looked pukka). The staff were friendly and the service was excellent on the evening and also at breakfast. On check-in, we were greeted by a lovely woman called Nikki who made us feel welcome. Would we stay there again .... It's a massive YES! 5* Pub & Hotel
