(Posted after our visit 26.10.23) I am currently sat in The Morecambe hotel with my family. There are six of us crammed round a small table. My husband asked nicely if we could move tables and be a bit more comfortable (especially for my mums comfort also), however this was refused. He asked the very nice gent who was serving us to get the manager out to double check this was allowed, Hannah, who still refused. The gent was fantastic with us and was visibly disappointed when we had our simple request refused. We were one of only two tables in the whole pub, therefore it was difficult for us to fathom how there was no chance of us moving tables. We can only assume it was perhaps down to laziness. We always make a point of going to the Morecambe hotel whenever we visit (once a year) and have been since our youngest was a baby (he’s 14). Unfortunately this will not be a priority next time. We were unfortunately not asked if we wanted any further drinks after our first. None of this complaint reflects on Samuel Byrne whose service was outstanding.

Hotel, restaurants, and rooms decorated to a very high standard and are immaculate. Breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. We enjoyed all of our starters, mains, and dessert. The fish beer battered fish and chips was the best I ever had. Service was friendly and professional. Facilities in the restaurant were immaculately clean, crisp modern decor and in keeping with the high standards of this establishment. Make sure to enjoy a promenade along the beach, including taking a photo with Eric Morecambe's statue only a 9-minute walk along the shore. Additionally, a playground is only 3 minutes away. This hotel and restaurant surpassed expectations. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Nice pub, although it wasn't very busy the service was a bit slow, staff more interested in the people eating than those waiting at the bar for drinks, beer wasn't the best either.

Visited on a Monday lunch time, roughly 3/4pm.. very quiet, however took our mains roughly 45 minutes to arrive. We ordered the lamb and a rib eye steak. The lamb was barely warm, and steak had to be up there with one of the worst steaks i’ve ever been served. The chef most definitely can not cook steak, which is worrying when they are charging £40 for one. Service felt rushed, and unprofessional from arriving to paying the bill, it definitely isn’t worth the price at all. Had better service and food from pubs.

Awful meal last night. Tasteless starter shrimps in something. Husbands steak smothered in something green. A heap of toms on the vine. My rack of lamb was tiny cutlets and very fatty I struggled to cut. A lot of greens swimming in a sickly gravy of some sort. We did complain as it was very expensive for what we got. The chef agreed with my complaint I was told. I got a 15% discount. Really should have given me a full discount. Very let down and won’t go again.
