Yates’s Manchester is in the city centre, between China town and the infamous and lively Canal Street’s gay village, just five minutes’ walk from Piccadilly train station and directly in front of the National Express coach station.
It is very much a chameleon-style venue which operates in all situations, offering unrivalled sports viewing and fantastic food. Being one of Manchester’s première night spots in the heart of city, just ask any taxi driver where a great night out is to be found or where to meet up with friends – and he/she will always say: “Yates – everybody knows where it is and it is by far the best bar in town.” (Taxi drivers never lie – FACT.).
The atmosphere is very open and lively. The building has quite an open plan with a few seating areas that are kind of isolated from the main floor, which is nice for groups of friends in the booths and couples to be more intimate. I didn't try the food, but it looked nice. Customer service was good, a lady accidentally gave me and my partner the wrong mixers in our drinks, but she had no trouble changing them and was very nice about it.
Ordered a bbq mac burgers they were OK but needed about 5 minutes more on the grill, cocktails are pre mixed , very sweet and served in half pint glasses. Only gave the 3 stars for service because the young lady who served our food was very polite
Just called in whilst waiting for connecting coach we had BBQ burger and a couple of cocktails. The burger for me was cooked on the outside and anemic inside. The cocktails were disgusting syrup served in half pint glass no straws and not stirred had to ask for something to stir with the young girl who took my order gave me a tablespoon 😡. The young lady who took my order Kayley I think it was she was quiet lazy speaking and couldn't understand her however there was also another young lady with colours to her hair who also served us our food was the complete opposite she was lovely, pleasant and polite. Speaking on food 2 other ladies on a different table had to wipe their own table. I will not eat here and may I suggest customers check their food.
Electric atmosphere and they do a good breakfast very impressed
