About us

The bar offers a selection of guest cask ales that change from week to week, as well as a wide selection of lagers, ciders, soft drinks and spirits. This includes a notable malt whiskey collection that is much loved by the local clientele!

The kitchen is the life and soul of the business, creating freshly cooked meals 7 days a week. Whether you are hungry for a steaming bowl of soup, the veggie favourite 'dragon pie', or a hearty fish 'n' chips, you are bound to be impressed by the quality and perhaps a little too full for the homemade sticky toffee pudding (but it is worth it if you can!).

To the rear of the pub you will find the garden gently stretching out, with a decking area, an aviary and space for children to play. When the weather is nice you can take advantage of the wooden seating, peppered among the rambling plants and flowers, for the ultimate tranquil afternoon in Lancashire.

Fantastic country pub great pint of ale and it has a large really pretty garden that we will be investigating closer on our next village. The staff were very friendly too

Lovely old fashioned pub, friendly and welcoming staff on a busy fair day at wray. Reasonably priced local ales and nice hot chips. Can't order and pay for food and drinks together though.. Would definitely visit again when in wray

We were on holiday and popped in one evening having read the glowing reviews. What a mistake! My husband asked if they were doing food only to be told that they didn't know where the chef was so they went to look and came back to tell him a blunt 'no'. Fine if you're not serving food but a friendly 'sorry not tonight' would have been nicer. We did get some drinks but even that seemed too much effort for them. Unwelcoming and certainly not the friendly village pub we were hoping for.

Turned up to the pub on holiday for dinner. All six of us are feeling very full and happy... Very generous portions of tasty, tasty food. Proper pub grub like it should be, none of this gastro nonsense. Good price too... The misses even said best chips she's ever had!! (And that's saying something). Warm welcome and old school decor, would recommend. Was raining, but the garden also looked splendid. Cheers then.
