Great staff clean modern rooms fantastic hot drink selection in rooms, cracking breakfast, pay and display car park across the road very pleasant and helpful staff, easy walking distance to bars and shops etc
Had a terrific one night stay and would definitely recommend to others. The staff make Toll House Inn what it is as they are so friendly and welcoming. The room was spotless and comfortable. We ate here and the food was great and reasonably priced. We hope to return soon as we enjoyed it so much
Stayed here for one night, hotel is centrally located just a few minutes from the centre, our room was very spacious, modern with all required facilities and spotless clean. We had dinner in the bar that evening, and it was delicious, as was breakfast the next morning. The breakfast options and quality were first class. All the staff from arrival to departure were super friendly and helpful would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Lancaster on a short break.
We have stayed and eaten here, off and on, for a few years now. It may not be the cheapest place to do either, but undoubtedly the quality is worth the extra. This year we have lunched twice during our visit to Lancaster and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food has been delicious. We fully intend to return for another lunch before we leave. The staff have been lovely and the food spot on - interesting and imaginative twists to some dishes, but other standard favourites. Beware the chicken burger: it's huge! My wife is coeliac, which can be a pain when we dine out, but at the Toll House it is no problem and she feels like a 'normal person' due to the effort made to give her a good choice of menu options that are tasty and available without fuss. Top marks! If there is any criticism I would say that the wine list is a tad(?) expensive. A very pleasant place to dine.
Went for our work Xmas lunch and had a private room. The room was decorated really well and looked lovely. I had the vegan Xmas dinner which was very tasty and considering they did smaller meals at our request there was plenty ( nut roast, veg, vegan sausages with vegan bacon, roast potatoes and gravy).
