We have a range of Real Cask Ales, Premium Lagers and a selection of Wines, to be enjoyed by the glass or bottle. We serve predominantly British Fayre made from local, seasonal produce wherever possible.
fireWe have a REAL FIRE you can cosy up to on those chilly Winter evenings and a large BEER GARDEN at the rear with plenty of tables. We also have a few tables at the front of the pub (essential for those Bikers that don’t want to leave their ‘pride & joy’ unattended!)

Our clientele is generally diverse, from locals coming in for a pint, or to play for our pool and darts teams, to tourists and locals looking for a light lunch or evening meal.

We paid before we arrived (via the phone), turned up, and actually decided not to stay. We met the son of the owner, who was lovely, pointing out where we could pitch our tent using the EHU. There is 1 male and 1 female toilet in a tiny shed, no toilet roll, no hand sanitiser, no light and there's no sink to wash your hands (in hindsight I have seen the website states there's no hand wash basin available - very odd). The 1 shower next to the toilets is disgustingly dirty and it has MDF walls, which would soak up water. The site is generally dirty with rubbish and other items left around in big piles - this is unsightly, unhygienic and potentially dangerous for children if they went near it. The field was unkempt and hadn't been mowed in a while. The website explains there's an eatery on site, and we were really excited to have a nice Thai/Malaysian meal for dinner, however the restaurant was closed / seemed shut down - there was no Food Hygiene rating on the front door which I believe means it is not operating? (This is a legal requirement if it is operating). The restaurant being closed is not something that the owner mentioned to me when we booked via the phone, nor is it stated on the website. I will contact the site and request a refund of £18 for the 1 night stay which we did not attend due to misleading descriptions of the site amenities and the poor conditions of the site including showers and toilets.
We booked in to stay 2 nights at the caravan they emailed us back at 930pm at night saying unfortunately we had to reschedule! We have turned up as we didn't see the email as it was really late. We get greeted at the door by a rude person that said it wasn't their problem.... This place is disgraceful, awful service to their customers
1 night stay for an organised meal. Superb food, says basic campsite and it is but perfectly functional. Some good walks nearby. Really friendly hosts. All in all a good stay.
Having spent many months in Malaysia over many years I think this is very good a Malaysian food. The service was excellent. My brother who is a very fussy vegetarian loved his noodles. Looking forward to visiting again with some of my sons.
Had our first family camping trip here this weekend and we LOVED IT! The family that run this site are lovely, super helpful, very friendly and always available. Food at the pub ran by the family was lovely especially the Malaysian cuisine.We will definitely be returning and look forward to many more camping trips at the site.
