Lancaster Brewery has four popular beers that form our core range - Lancaster Blonde, Amber, Red and Black and we also produce monthly specials and seasonal beers from our purpose built brewery located on the outskirts of Lancaster.
Our beer is available far and wide, in cask and in bottles in great pubs across the UK and as far afield as Latvia and China. Stockists also include supermarkets and off licenses regionally and nationally.
We do brewing properly. No fuss, no shortcuts, just proper old fashioned brewing using Freshly milled malt (milled on site the same day that we brew), whole-leaf hops and live yeast that, combined with our expertise, produces some of the best beer in the country.
Our brewery has been built to be sustainable with our power coming from solar panels on our roof and all our used malt going to feed local free range pigs. We take the environment and our local community seriously, hosting a series of festivals each year at our Brewery site in Lancaster for people to enjoy.
We have opened up the site over time and developed it so that it is now one of the best places in Lancashire to host a party! Our beautiful brewery is open as a tap house for people to come and sample a pint daily, and we offer tours of our brewing process too.
The brewery is available to hire as a venue for weddings, parties or meetings and is a fantastic venue for a big bash within walking distance of Lancaster town centre.
In addition to the tap house, Lancaster Brewery owns a group of award-winning venues in Lancashire and Cumbria including the Sun Hotel & Bar in Lancaster, the Mill at Ulverston, and the Duke of Edinburgh Hotel in Barrow. Michelin-starred chef Steven Doherty has recently joined the team as executive consultant chef so we can also boast some of the best food in the business.

Had a really enjoyable afternoon. Our tour guide Matt was very informative, interesting and amusing. The pizza was delicious and of course, the sampling of all the beers was a must..All the staff were very helpful. A definite return when we're in this area on holiday from South Wales. Please start brewing Lancaster Blush cider again..😁
We attended an event at the brewery, it’s a lovely place. Nice set up and a lovely inside/decoration. There were two bar staff working, one of them obviously hated their job and the service was abysmal. We waited so long to be served at the bar the gentleman serving on the other side came over an served us as the employee who I think might have been in training as they had to be shown how to use the till blanked us. Their attitude when serving us later was appalling no smile, no words just a fed up demeanour. It’s a shame about the employee as otherwise great place!
Brewery tour, we'll worth the trip. Our guide David was knowledgeable and entertaining. Lots of facts coming thick and fast during the 1hr tour. Full access to the whole brewing process. Quality beers and tasty pizza included. We were able to have our pizza boxed to go, which is a nice touch. Great to learn how much effort the company puts into sustainability, hygiene and quality. You can see why the business has been a local success integrating with local community and businesses. Spacious bar and lots of seating in the outdoor beer garden.
Just had my nannas 90th birthday party here the staff couldn’t do enough for us to make her afternoon special from start to finish everyone had a threat time Kelly’s Kitchen who is based at the brewery laid on a fantastic spread of pie and peas with all the extras including veg alternatives everybody commented how nice the food was she even packaged up some leftovers for us and cleared away after us Thank you all for making this a memorable family occasion
