A former Matthew Brown house, refurbished in 2013 and a recent convert to real ale. retaining a multi room layout the bar is in an open lounge area at the rear of the pub. The pool room is to the right of the entrance and another small room containing the dart board is to the left. There is a small outdoor area at the rear and seating at the front in summer.
Nice little pub with lovely bar staff. Equipped with pool table and darts and good price drinks.
Traditional local welcome, very good prices. Bottom of Pennines so handy for the canal.
Good local pub brill prices, early afternoon locals a bit sweary.
Very friendly hosts and spotlessly clean. Well kept beer.
I wouldn't even rate it 1 star , if you've got children stay well away. Didn't get chance to sample the delights as I had an under age with me. Not child friendly.
