Love coming to the War Horse, food never disappoints and really good prices for drinks. Staff are all round lovely, especially Amy and Pippa who couldn’t do enough for us and always wear a smile!
Went tonight for mix it up Tuesday and was disappointed. My boyfriend wanted the steak but was unavailable (due to late delivery so understandable) and gave him an extra side for the trouble which was nice. But my meal was burnt and the smell was super strong cos of that. My sides were fine but the sizzle plate was the burnt part. I would of taken it back but had waited a while cos of my boyfriend having to change his main.
Great place to eat. Quick service most of the time (can get very busy) and large selection of meal choices. Food is very tasty at a good price.
Decent enough pub, just don’t get Guinness whatever you do. Worst Guinness I’ve ever had the displeasure of ordering
I do not normally visit pubs for food, but as we happened to be shopping in the area, we thought we would try something different. The staff were very nice and helpful. The place was very clean and the music was at the right level. You could hear it without it being too loud. I ordered the Korean bbq chicken burger (£9.99) and my partner ordered Classic chicken New Yorker (£8.69). My Korean burger had two nice tender pieces of chicken on it. However, the bun it came in was a little on the hard side. My partner enjoyed her chicken. Both meals came with onion rings, which were very nice. The chips in both meals were more like fries. Very thin, they were OK, I have had better. Just before we left, the waitress asked if we had enjoyed our meal. I mentioned to her that I thought the bun was a little on the hard side. She apologised and said she would mention it to the kitchen. On the whole, the meal was OK. The Korean burger (photograph) does not does not come with a tomato. It came from my partner's meal.
